MyGuidewire’s Security Measures
Since even the best privacy policy doesn’t mean much if your information isn’t safe, MyGuidewire uses industry standard physical and electronic procedures (including firewalls) to protect the information we receive from you. Digital certificates encrypt data using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the industry standard method for protecting web communications. The SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection. SSL has been universally accepted on the World Wide Web for authenticated and encrypted communication between members’ computers and servers. SSL ensures that the information exchanged between your computers and our servers over the Internet is secure and cannot be accessed by any third party.

The Information MyGuidewire Collects and How It Is Used

Profile Information
MyGuidewire is a unique provider of individualized, comprehensive college to career transition and ongoing life – career management support services. The better we know you the greater our ability to provide highly individualized, effective support services. When you initially elect to become a MyGuidewire member and from time to time afterwards, we will ask you to provide us with comprehensive personal data including but not limited to your educational background, work experience, personality traits, career and occupational preferences, work and life goals and life-skills developmental needs and other information that our advisors consider useful to best address your needs. This data is used to create a comprehensive personal information record system that can be electronically referenced by you and your MyGuidewire coach, member service assistants and specialized advisors for the purpose of assisting you with your college to career transition and ongoing life – career management support needs.

All of this information will always remain private. The only people who have access to your information are your selected coach, limited MyGuidewire employees who are involved in directly assisting you and those within our small network of trusted service providers who supply limited additional, third-party services through our site. All MyGuidewire coaches, employees and trusted third party providers are familiar with this privacy policy and obligated to comply with its terms. We treat your information on a strictly need-to-know basis and only those aspects of your information that are necessary for our employees and trusted service providers to use in providing you with our services are accessible to them and nothing more. Similarly, MyGuidewire will not retain your information longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. If you become a member of MyGuidewire, you will be responsible for protecting your user name and password that provides access to all of your personal information. MyGuidewire disclaims any responsibility for a breach of privacy as a result of a member willingly or inadvertently disclosing their user name and password to others.

Registration and Purchase Information
When processing payment for our services, we’ll need your name, date of birth, home address, phone number, email address, credit card information and billing address. This information is used primarily to process your order, for service renewals, and for age verification and identification purposes. The MyGuidewire service is not authorized for anyone under the age of 18 and we will delete any information we learn was inputted by minors. Credit card transactions are processed by Verisign, which only uses your purchase information for that purpose. We will use your email address to confirm your order and its processing, to provide you with certain aspects of our services (such as communicating with our coaches as well as providing periodic reminders), and to address any customer service issues. We will also use your email address to let you know about new or enhanced MyGuidewire services. If you don’t want to receive these other email communications, all you have to do is send an email to unsubscribe@myguidewire.comas described in the section below on Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Information.

Aggregate Information
On an aggregate basis, we collect demographic and other non-identifying information about our members. MyGuidewire will not disclose any personally identifiable information as part of this aggregate information but we may share aggregate information with others so we can perform research, enhance and market our member services, conduct accounting and process record keeping functions. Your personal contact information will not be lent, sold or otherwise disclosed to any other business or vendor.

“Refer a Friend” Information
On several places on our website, we provide you with the opportunity to conveniently and efficiently send a link of one of our pages to a friend. If you choose to do so, you will need to input the friend’s name and email address in the window provided. Such information will NOT be saved and stored in our database and will be used solely for the purpose of sending the information you have selected.

MyGuidewire uses a feature of your browser called a “cookie.” Your cookie automatically identifies your computer – but not you – to our servers when you visit our Web site and allows us to correlate your computer with certain usage patterns which are stored in our log files. We use cookies to gather general, aggregate statistics about the overall popularity and usage of our services in our continual attempt to provide those services for which our customers have the greatest need. MyGuidewire also uses more temporary cookies, often referred to as session cookies, to keep a user logged into the system and aid in the exchange of information between pages without loss of data. Such a cookie, however, is only stored for the current browsing session and is deleted once the browser is closed.

Additionally, we may use IP address information to count and track aggregate visits to , to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Clear Gifs
We also may collect information through the use of clear gifs (also called Web Beacons and Web Bugs) in selected email messages we send to you. These are tiny graphic files, not visible to the human eye, that are included in HTML-based emails and used to let us know which emails we send are opened. Clear gifs may also see or read cookies on your computer. When authorized by MyGuidewire, third parties specializing in monitoring aggregate statistical use of our site with whom we contract, may use cookies, our web log files, web beacons, and other monitoring technologies to compile anonymous aggregate data.

The MyGuidewire Web site includes links to select governmental Web sites and the Web sites of some of our trusted service providers. These sites may be differentiated by the appearance of governmental references or the respective brands for our trusted service providers and they may (but not always) contain the MyGuidewire trademark. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

Changes to use of personal information. If we ever may need to use your personal information in any different manner than what we have described here, we will notify you in advance by email. At that time, you will have the choice as to whether or not we can use your information in this different manner.If you don’t agree with the new use, you can tell us and we won’t do it..

Other changes. If we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect the use of your personal information already stored in our database, we will let you know by posting those changes on this page of our Web site along with the date of the last update. Anytime you want, you can you change the personal information you provided to us. After logging in with your user name and password, click on the My Profile section contained in each of service modules and select “View / Edit My Background Information” to make the changes. Please note that changing your information through this option only changes the data in our database for purposes of your future activities on our Web site. The changes won’t affect any reports, which have already been created or change emails or information that may have been already forwarded to our trusted service providers.

Bulletin Board
The MyGuidewire site includes an online message board allowing you to more readily interact with other MyGuidewire users. Please keep in mind that this forum and any information you post on it is public and caution should be exercised when deciding to disclose any personally identifying information there.

We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer’s name. We do obtain the customer’s consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.

International Users
